[...]Yes it weighs a lot, takes about 5 hours to assemble and would recommend at the end having a second person, but this is a solid, attractive, well built, sturdy desk. If you wanted something light, easily moved desk you would not have something as sturdy, so you have to give somewhere. Have been using it for about 2 months now and love it. Would recommend to anyone. Having the L shape adds more room. In the room I have it in my house is about 15' by 9 1/2' and I have a Bowflex, the desk, and 4 bookcases and it is not crowded. Love the desk.

I love the desk. It has 3 file drawers. Very sturdy. Looks beautiful. Only negative was 7 hours to assemble. But the directions were good. It just took a long time.

Product assembled per directions easily. Definitely need a partner to assist and about 4-5 hours. Once put together the desk has been perfect.

Nice sturdy desk. Smaller drawers have flimsy tracks. The big drawers have better tracks and are much easier to operate. Way too many parts. Plan on a few evenings of assembly. Fingers prints very visible. Constant wiping required.

We use this desk in our home office. Personally, I think its great. It was inexpensive. It looks nice. The drawers slide well. The assembly takes some work but now that its together, its wonderful. Lots of desk and drawer space. This desk really met our home office needs.

Since this desk came in a single box that weighed about 250 pounds it was easier to open and take out each of the pieces to bring upstairs. I made sure to check off all the parts before we got started so I knew we weren't missing anything. It took my husband and me about 5 and a half hours to put together. We only needed a hammer and a Phillips screwdriver (the crisscross kind).
We did use a small cordless electric screwdriver with a low torque setting then hand tightened in the screws the rest of the way so that really did speed up our time. I think this would have been super hard if not impossible to put together by myself though as there are a few places in the instructions where you need an extra person to hold things. The wood isn't real but it looks beautiful and it was so well packaged that it doesn't even have a scratch. It does finger print easy so I'd love to find a glass top for it. It has plenty of storage and seems real sturdy! I think this desk is the best you'll find for the price!
